Before You Commit to a Site
Start with the proposed use, parcel location, access, utilities and approval path. A site that looks suitable still needs a project-specific review before acquisition or construction.
1. Screen the site
Document your intended use and space requirements. Review zoning, access, easements, drainage and utility availability with the appropriate professionals.
2. Clarify the approval path
Ask the local planning department what reviews apply. Mesa’s pre-submittal conference can identify planning issues, entitlement steps and infrastructure requirements; it is not a complete review or an approval.
3. Build a decision checklist
Track unresolved questions, responsible parties and the information needed before each commitment. Keep assumptions about cost and timing separate from confirmed project facts.
